Since the last update I’ve had the opportunity to play Cornerstone festival, lead worship at my home church, Rolling Hills and play a fundraiser for The Star Center in Jackson, TN. Staying busy..
We took off for Cornerstone at 4 am from Nashville, TN. I played a solo set with a full band in the afternoon and then a RKR set that evening. It was a tiring, hot day but also an emotional one. After 17 years of memories it was a bit hard to say goodbye to this festival. I was so glad my wife was able to join me so I could share some of those memories with her. I’m so thankful for that festival and the people that have poured so much into it.
Next up was leading at Rolling Hills.. I love being at a church that allows others to get involved. If it was just a staff only show we would not be able to grow as a congregation into leaders and multiply in the way that is needed. They would be taking away the opportunity for the church to serve. I’m so thankful that we have leaders that are willing to invest into myself and others to help us grow. So to say all that, the set went great and there is such talent & true hearts of worship there. We are truly blessed and I don’t take it for granted.
That next day I was booked for a fundraiser in Jackson, TN just a little jaunt 2 and half hours west. It was for an amazing place called The Star Center. A place that serves all regardless of their ability to pay for services. The STAR Center’s youngest client is 3 months old and oldest is 104 years old. It’s really incredible and I was glad to be a part of it. Here’s some photo’s and a write up in the local paper HERE.
Last but not least I have a t-shirt for sale now inspired by my song “Bless Thee”. If you dig it and you want one, email me. Price $12 I’ll get more pics up soon.
